Financial Aid at New Hope

Financial aid decisions are usually made by mid-July, so we recommend that you begin your application process right away. (If you’re just finding out about us in August or even September - don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re happy to assist where we can.) You can begin as soon as you’ve determined what classes interest you for the coming year. Please note: if you do not have current-year (2021) tax information on hand, please submit 2020 records using our Third-Party Application (www.factsmgt.com).

MARCH - JULY:

  1. Send a formal letter (by email is fine) to our Executive Director, stating your intent to apply and outlining any extraordinary circumstances your family currently faces. Please tell her your story! — this helps to personalize the process.
    2. Beginning in April: go to www.factsmgt.com. (Please have tax information on hand for this step.)

    3. Click on “Parents” button at the far right of the menu bar (at top)

    4. Click on “Parent Solutions,” then scroll half-way down the page to the blue “APPLY NOW” button (under the heading “Looking to Fill Out an Application for Aid?”)
    5. If you’ve never used this website before: you will be prompted to “Create An Account” (as a New User).

    6. If you have used this website in the past (for New Hope), click on “Sign In” to access your pre-existing account.

    7. You will be prompted page-by-page with instructions for applying. If you are asked for a school zip code, it is: 01921.
    8. Our Executive Director will review all applications (along with personalized emails and letters) during the months of June/July. We will begin to send out Financial Aid packages (a formal letter sent out by email) to families on/around July 20. We ask that families return a SIGNED letter of acceptance to our office (due date is included in the offer letter).

More about financial aid at New Hope:

We hope that the cost of our courses will not deter anyone from applying. Some families demonstrate need based on the number of children still homeschooling; others demonstrate need based upon extenuating circumstances such as medical expenses, extended family living under one roof, college expenses for older children while still homeschooling, and the ever-present one-income family structure that is inherent in the design. We are open to discussion about you and your family’s particular situation, so please don’t hesitate to email our Executive Director to tell your story.
